Two students from Washburn High School in Minneapolis were recognized with honorable mention in C-SPAN’s 20th annual StudentCam competition for their documentary, “You’ve Dialed 911: The Future of Public Safety from Minneapolis.”

For the 20th anniversary, students were asked to address the theme, “Looking Forward while Considering the Past.” Andrew Wesson and Jacob Wesson, twin siblings, were one of over 1,600 entries from 42 states and Washington, D.C.

“Comcast is excited to honor Andrew and Jacob in the 2024 StudentCam competition. We are proud to partner with C-SPAN to help provide a platform for students across the country to share their voice on the issues important to them as they work to be informed and active citizens. Congratulations!”
