Kate Hensing-Hedrick honored as 40 Under 40 recipient by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

Kate Hensing-Hedrick, senior director, Government and Regulatory Affairs for Comcast’s Midwest Region, has been honored as a 2025 40 Under 40 recipient by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Hensing-Hedrick was recognized with the rest of the 2025 honorees during an awards reception on April 9 at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley, Minn.
The honor recognizes 40 business and community leaders under the age of 40 who are notching professional successes while also giving back to their communities through board and committee memberships and volunteerism.

Kate has revolutionized the way communities connect, ensuring high-speed internet is accessible to all, regardless of geographic or socioeconomic barriers.
Under her leadership, Comcast has launched groundbreaking initiatives to significantly expand broadband coverage in underserved areas ensuring residents and businesses have access to Comcast’s next generation broadband network and all its products and services.
Her innovative approach to cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships has resulted in the deployment of high-speed internet to many communities, including rural areas in Washington, Anoka and Hennepin counties, bridging the digital divide and fostering economic growth.
By collaborating with local governments and the Minnesota Office of Broadband, she’s notably helped create and implement sustainable solutions to provide affordable internet access to thousands of households. This work has enhanced educational opportunities, empowered small businesses and remote workers, and contributed to communities’ overall vitality. Kate’s influence also secured millions in additional state grants to make projects feasible.
She’s also supported small businesses through Comcast’s RISE program, helping them access key resources.
