Improving Digital Equity for Families in Anoka County, One Laptop at a Time

In 2023, the Midwest Region donated nearly 1,000 laptops throughout Minnesota, Kansas, and Missouri. This includes Arrive Ministries who provided laptops to newly arrived refugees, Stairstep Foundation to support their digital skills program, ICNA Relief and MoKan Goodwill to refugee families with school-aged children, and laptops that our Employee Resource Groups (ERG) donated to organizations they partner with.

In addition, Comcast recently donated more than 20 laptops to Tickets for Kids Charities as a part of their ongoing commitment to improve digital equity for families. Through a partnership with Saint Paul Saints, Comcast hosted a Teacher Appreciation Night and as a part of the evening, Comcast donated one laptop for every strikeout allowing Tickets for Kids Charities to receive laptops.

Through their strong partnership with the Anoka County Human Services, Tickets for Kids Charities donated the laptops to the county’s Partnership for Family Success program for children and families in need of technology.
