We have always had an incredibly strong spirit of volunteerism at Comcast which is why it’s not surprising Comcast employees jumped into action for the Greater Twin Cities United Way Action Day 2022! This annual event brings together organizations throughout the Twin Cities to pack backpacks full of school supplies for 50,000 local students. This year’s event was hosted by the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Greater Twin Cities United Way shared that each year, more than 100,000 students in the Twin Cities return to school without essential school supplies. Action Day 2022 is a way to help address educational disparities and ensure that students are set for a successful school year.
These efforts are part of Team UP, our national volunteerism program offering Comcast teams across the country an opportunity to make a difference in their local communities 365-days-a-year. The name Team UP underscores that our work has the greatest reach when we combine forces. It also aligns with Project UP, our $1 billion initiative to build a future of unlimited possibilities.
