A Meal with Meaning: Hunt.Fish.Feed. Brings Gratitude and Connection to Harrisonville
Comcast and Sportsman Channel teamed up to host a Hunt.Fish.Feed dinner in partnership with the Cass County Memorial VFW Post #4409 in Harrisonville, Mo.
Employees of Comcast Midwest Region assisted with the preparing and serving of the free meal to VFW members and their families. Local community members also gathered to enjoy the meal and celebrate fellowship, the outdoors, and the spirit of giving back to those who have served in a new network expansion area.
“We were proud to partner with Sportsman Channel and Cass County Memorial VFW to bring Hunt.Fish.Feed. to Harrisonville,” said Jennifer Dameron, director, External Affairs, Comcast Midwest Region. “This event was more than just a meal—it was about connecting with neighbors, honoring veterans, and supporting the Harrisonville community. It’s rewarding to show our appreciation.”

Launched in 2007, Hunt.Fish.Feed. is a national campaign by Sportsman Channel to educate the public about providing natural resources to help combat nationwide hunger. The network hosts and sponsors an annual tour that visits local cities and serves meals to people in need.
To date, the initiative has served more than 42,000 meals in communities across the country. To learn more about Hunt. Fish. Feed., visit here.

Celebrating, and giving back
The dinner was one of several ways that Comcast Midwest is showing up in Missouri to start fall.
Comcast also took part in the Harrisonville Log Cabin Festival, which included a parade, carnival, and entertainment, and employees built 20 beds as part of a charity event in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a non-profit dedicated to building and delivering beds to area children in need.
